I think he should retire, he really showed his age in the last few rounds of the Calzaghe fight, he has nothing left to prove.

I want him to keep fighting. I think he looked great in there against Joe. Hard to keep up wih the work rate of a guy like Calzaghe.. But Bernard dindt just look good for his age, he looked good in there period.. He has noting more to proove and its a good time to retire for sure.. But he still has the skills,, and I wouldnt mind seeing fight on. he seems in great health.

He should retire. It's like some people have said; his legs are good, his skills are still strong - but he doesn't have the engine anymore.

There's nothing at stake for him. No point.

He has nothing left to prove.

I'm not a big fan of his style of fighting.

          but

He still has a lot left in the tank, doesn't take (and never did) hardly any punishment.

If he wants to continue fighting, more power to him.

If Jones beats Calzaghe, a Jones rematch makes sense.

I'd like to see him fight Roy again but it ain't necessary. Nothin is. He ain't gotta prove **** cuz he's a legend already. He can retire and promote.

                The engine...
                Good analogy, Addison.
And as better men then I have said in this thread, he has nothing left to prove.

I think he should retire too. He has nothing left to prove and there really aren't any good fights left. He can still compete at this age at a very high level, but he doesn't have the stamina he once had.

Too bad he has to go out with a Loss but there is no shame in losing to undefeated calzaghe by a split decision and even knocked him down.

Amazing that through his entire career he never took a beating. Very few people can say that when its all done and said.
