    Very Good at 140
Decent at 147...not enough for him to compete with the big dawgs of the division

Well that's feasible, he hits extremely hard.

But at 140 pounds I still think Hatton rips everyone to shreds.

That's all it was. His clean punching in numbers.
      Yep.
People find out that Mayweather is just a little stronger, tougher, and has a pretty good chin then some give him credit for.
Then you mix it in with how hard he works in the gym.
Then the fact he has grown up around gifted fighters all his life.
I mean, the dude got the perfect hand, really.
I actually laughed out loud when somebody suggested Barrera, Pac, and Morrales would have beaten Mayweather at 130.
Now, can Cotto beat him? Yes.
But if my REAL money was on the line? Mayweather.

Hatton has an excellent chin, anyone can get KOd, anyone, to go 40 fights and only suffer one KO to the P4P #1 should put his chin beyond question.

I think that a more interesting question to ask is: psychologically, how is Hatton after being KOd and outclassed in his last fight? Will he ever recover the confidence he had before his zero got taken? Can he improve, or is this the beginning of the end?

You do realize that he was fighting at Welterweight right?

I mean it should be shockingly clear that he's nowhere near the same caliber fighter at that weight as he is at 140 pounds. Where he's faster, more accurate, more durable and more tenacious.........exhibited by his reluctance to clinch as much instead throw insane flurries of power punches.

Anyways I think he'd whip Miguel Cotto's ****ing ass at 140.

even Mayweather hit hatton with bombs right on the chin.

the KO punch was to the temple and not the chin

I like Ricky, but I have to say his chin is average. I know both times he has been hurt (and koed once) were at a higher weight, but it still makes me question how good of a shot he can take.

Ricky's chin is average at 140. People say look at the Tzu fight but he never got hit with Tzu's straight right at full extension, Hatton was mugging him all night.

Than look at who he has faced. Who has he fought that had power and was still some what young and able to even test the chin? His chin is decent in that it isn't a liability but its not an asset either the way Baldomir's or Margarito's chin are assets.

News flash also, PBF's fight weight against Hatton was 147lbs. Hattons fight weight against Tzu was 150lbs. Any real jrWW will have a fight weight of 147lbs or better after they rehydrate. Mayweather didn't ballon up to 155-160lbs like all Natural WW's do. Hatton was not KO'd by a 160lb WW he was KO'd by a guy who could've easily dried out and made 140lbs and rehydrated to the 147lbs he was come fight time.

Guys please dont use weight as an excuse for Hatton getting KO'd by PBF it just doesn't fly.

Ricky's chin is solid indeed and is underrated.

                      it's good.

The guy gets hit.....fighting like he does if he had a bad chin none of us here would know who the **** he is. Specifically before the move to higher weight when he became clinch happy.....he would just walk people down and blast away....not very scientific.
