floyd is keeping himself in the mainstream eye. explain how what he's doing will get mainstream fans interested in other fights besides floyd's fights? especially when they get dissapointed when tuning in to his because of his style which isnt fan friendly?

Fighters like Oscar De La Hoya, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Ali all had charisma, yes, but they continuosly fought the best, fought hard, and had crowd pleasing styles. Floyd quit fighting the best competition, plain and simple. He got huge after he fought Oscar. He's taking advantage of it yes, but you can't compare him to the likes of those other fighters. As far as skills, sure, but that's it. They got the fans involved by how they fought, which in turn helped boxing. Floyd gets people involved by acting ridiculous, and got his mainstream image by beating De La Hoya. He's not helping boxing more than those guys did. Say what you want, but he'll never be as popular as those guys. If he fought the best, and had great, exciting fights, he would be.
