Solis didn't "knock out" Haye, he won on eight-counts.

Was it eight counts or points spread? I lost on points spread once but I was a long way from being hurt. The guy who beat me knocked out his next opponent in the gold medal round. Like out. 12345678910out out.

Haye's the one who has had more experience as a pro, & Solis does seem to have gotten a little lazy in his training habits since he defected (pretty common among the Cuban heavier weight defectors).

However, he still seems pretty focused...

If the fight happens in about a year, when Solis is up to top contender status & Haye has proved himself as a heavy, could be explosive.

However, will wait till then to make my call.

Yeah rewatched it, Haye looked very tired. A stoppage in the amateurs doesn't mean ****.

Dredging up amateur fights to attempt to discredit a pro is silly.

Solis has got worse as a pro imo, I would pick Haye at the moment.

Solis is around 250 pounds and didn't looked as fresh as in his amateur days.
Fight is a close one now with Haye being better and Solis being fat.

Yes, Haye sent him all the over the place in the 1st round, and has only improved no end. Haye is much better now physically, and has been said Solis is a lard ass now, would be a decent scrap, but i think Haye could easily stop him. It looked like he bossed the 1st round and without the headgear he would most likely of gone down and probably would of done if he didn't get the 8 count (although that is a moot point). Haye has had problems with stamina and has been working on it a lot.

They fought 5 times as amatures. Haye beat him 4 times to that once.

If that was a pro fight there Haye would have knocked him out, there would have been no standing 8 count and Haye would have finished him.
