Yes, discussion is good, but it gets rather silly when people are so set in their views, like saying X fighter will definitely beat Y fighter, especially when both are out of their prime. Roy in particular is about 7 years past it.

I think that Roy will beat Joe Cazlaghe and am wiling to argue/debate it until the end. Am I sure he will win? No but I think he will win and I will make my case which is the purpose of being here.

I agree some don't provide any good points to back up their arguement, like some of the Calzaghe supporters I encountered who told me that Calzaghe was gonna win easy and knock Popkins out ignoring the facts they're provided with.

I myself, said it was gonna be an ugly fight with Hopkins making it his type of fight and pulling out a split decision and it almost happened like that. I argued that for weeks and weeks. The fight was hard to score but only went the other way unfortunately.

I think you'll find you can actually hype a fight by saying the other guy is asking for too much money:

        i. It builds anticipation and anxiouness for the fight, fans ignite the "will they? won't they?" debate. So by the time ithe fight is announced the fans

ii. It generates a slight bit of conflict which is needed in this instance, Joe and Roy seem to get along, conflict sells tickets and generates interest.

Imho this fight will definitely happen.

obviously joe is getting cold feet. they are not tryin to hype this fight. second guessing the fight is what they are doing. they know joe cant win and he has a better chance fightin a fighter who doesnt posess far more speed accuracy and power. that why he may just fight pavlik wwho only comes straight forward throw only a one two combo and doesnt move well. pavlik's style plays right into calzaghe's favor

See, this is a balanced post. You think he will win, and that's cool. I think Roy has a good chance, too.

And this is not a balanced post because of the parts I highlighted in bold.

No disrespect to to you mike but you are too set in your ways.

this is a boxing forumn not literacy forumn. no one is paying attention to how anything is spelled or how its used as long as the discussion or debate is posted and readable no disrespect to you. we are not proofreading each others discussions.

The fight will happen. Early on it looked like the Hopkins fight wasn't going to happen either, it's called negotiations.

Roy still has pretty good handspeed and power, but Joe has the better footwork at this stage. Good fight.
