Trinidad Sr: "This is Not The End of Tito"

In a recent interview with El Nuevo Dia, Felix Trinidad Sr, father/trainer/manager of Felix "Tito" Trinidad, said his son's inability to land rematches with Bernard Hopkins and Oscar De La Hoya does not mean he will retire for a third time. Tito will take his time before making any kind of decision regarding a possible third retirement. [details]

After Cotto beats Oscar or Mayweather, you will see Trinidad at 150 pounds asking Cotto for a catch weight fight at 150 pounds, the jealousy will get him down to 150-154 pounds. How is it that he says he can't make 160 pounds? Did he run so much, and trained so hard, that he couldnt lose weight, or is it that he has so much money that he can't resist eating his $500 dollars a night meals? Explain Tito what's preventing you from making 160? He wants Oscar at 165, what's another 5 lousy pounds when your a professional fighter with technics on losing weight, he can just chill in a steam room not running and shed 5 pounds of water weight, give me a break.

Tito made enough money in the RJJ fight that he should be able to retire comfortably, he has nothing else to prove. If he could still make 154, I think he might still be able to win a title, but at anything above that, he doesn't have much chance.

These two morons, the father and son combo thinks their still a force to reckon with in the world of boxing... its only Don King thats listening to you... DLH, even went to Puerto Rico to ask for a rematch with Tito a few years ago... but Tito turn it down, now they are saying DLH doesnt want a rematch? You're both ******, if DLH will go up to 160lbs to fight your ****** son... but, given the case, I think DLH will whupped your son's ass for good... And Bhop's already thinking of retiring, he already had your son's ass kicked... Accept the fact that Tito doesnt have it anymore... retire and enjoy the sun... You should both learned how to win first, before you ask for something you can't handle... Good thing, you still had your mental faculties intact when you decided not to fight Taylor, else it would be a disaster on your son. Why dont you join WWE... there might be some takers there... LOL...

Tito's dad reminds me of that dad who makes their son run wind sprints at 8 years old with aspirations of them being a great football or soccer player.
