    I would bet a month's pay that Hatton-Mayweather 2 would do more than Cotto-Mayweather.

As much as I hate the prospect of that fight, tons of brits didn't come to the us and spend a ton of money to see number 1 for the hell of it, you know.

Hatton is huge, bigger than Cotto.

    It would make a mint.

That fight just made me respect Floyd so much more, though. He went way out of his usual style because Judah fought similair and was outdoing him with the boxing. He beat Zab with forward pressure..

I agree with that. Zab's power isn't really power in the conventional sense. It's more of his speed fooling somebody's nervous system and keeping a fighter from tensing themselves up. His real power comes from timing and speed. But I think me and you differ in the opinion about the nature of that speed. You believe that he needs to put combos together to put a guy away... He put Rivera down with a single punch. He wobbled Cotto without having landed any significant shots prior to that (and then got his nuts crushed )... Same **** when he put Corley down. He didn't land a real significant punch the whole fight (boring fight), and then he put him down. Not away, but down- and that kind of thing just shows you how Zab has the potential to put a guy away with one well placed shot.
I agree with everything you said. I just meant that he needs a combo, or at least more than one punch to put a guy away instead of just down. That shot he knocked Corley down with was HUGE, but Corley was able to get up.

I like the analysis about the "speed power". A lot like Manny Pacquaio in a sense.

Zab does have decent power, I just don't think he can be called a power puncher. That is, unless you ask Wayne Martell.

So you think Floyd is doing the right thing making a rematch with an overrated, undersized Limey that he already KO'd rather than facing arguably the best fighter at 147 in Miguel Cotto??

D, he pretty much ended the fight with Rivera with that single punch. A Rivera who had never been down, let alone TKO'd in 2.

The punch that he caught Corey with in the 2nd fight was beautiful, too. But yeah- dude is definitely not a power puncher.

I Have to say that Joe Calzaghe now just having his biggest fight at 35 doesnt make him look good at all, Its easy to say the other guys wouldnt fight him but you have to make yourself a commodity before the big names would fight you. Warren should have let him fight in the states like 6 years ago.
