But Casamayor should have probably gotten the decision over Freitas. And Reid MAY have beaten Calzaghe on some scorecards. Casamayor, in terms of legacy, isn't incredibly far behind Calzaghe, if at all, if you ask me.Valero has been blocked from fighting better competition. Thankfully that should be resolved soon. I'd definitely put him ahead of Zab Judah, who only has one impressive win on his record (Spinks) and plenty of losses and subpar showings. Casamayor definitely belongs on the list, but I can't reasonably compare him to Calzaghe. Even the people who felt that Hopkins got ripped off wouldn't compare it to the atrocious Santa Cruz decision.
As far as Valero, he may have been blocked. However, it's not like he's abetter boxer BECAUSE he's a southpaw. He is a slugger. His stance has really no addition to that. Furthermore, you don't know how good he'd be against ACTUAL competition. I just don't see the reason/point to him on the list at this particular time.Comment

Calzaghe. Pac is a close second.

I'll take the undertrained bit. But Witter had plenty of amateur experience, and only a couple less pro fights than Zab. So he wasn't exactly out of his league. Although it's true that he took the fight on short notice.Comment

Yeah, I will just say that Witter wasn't exposed to a world class level like Judah was or was getting to at that point. He just wasn't ready. I'd take Witter over Judah at this point, even at 147.Comment

Agree to disagree. The only difference I saw was about 4 pro fights for Judah and less time to prepare for Witter.Comment

Pacquiao n it shouldn't even be close. He adds more dimensionals ontop of being southpaw. He leaps in and out, comes in at odd angles, confusing upperbody movement, and probably the single most accurate and deadly straight left in boxing. He doesn't just beat his competition, he generally dominates them with KO wins or shutouts. His only real tricky opponent was JMM but he does hold 2 wins over him. Barrera and Morales are both legends and he didn't just beat them, he KOed both. He truely uses his southpaw advantage to his advantage with his extra additions to his arsenal.Comment
