Cotto-Gomez didn't do well because of the Showtime card. Well Showtime had a free fight alternative to the Baldomir-Mayweather PPV that nobody liked. You will tell me casual people fell for the hype and bought the fight.
How calm those same casual fans didn't show up for Gomez since we all know casual fans watch Espn's the contender.
Bottom line, as the title says, you can't make a exuse in favor of Cotto for the low FREE and I repeat free HBO ratings it had. Evidence suggest otherwise.
I'm very rational......Last edited by Vladimir303; 04-26-2008, 07:39 PM.

Yeah because There was no paperview worthy fighters until he got to 140.
And he was calling out Shane and Oscar When he was at 130.If those fighters would have excepted he would have gotten one much sooner.Last edited by flodistheshizle; 04-26-2008, 07:40 PM.

Floyd vs Judah - Judah's first PPV and the highest PPV numbers of his career. Cotto-Judah did less then that. The biggest payday of his career.
Floyd vs Baldomir - Baldomir's first and only PPV. His biggest payday to date. Baldomir against Gatti ( you know Gatti, the guy that Floyd did a PPV with because he is such a PPV attraction) was on free HBO.
Floyd vs Oscar - 2.5 million PPV buys....a new record. Did more then Oscar-Mosley, Oscar-Trinidad, Oscar-Mayorga, Oscar-(insert here).Last edited by Vladimir303; 05-23-2008, 10:43 PM.

I know many of his fights are televised in the u.s but rarely. And even if it was televised consistently, hes still not a draw.So you have no good excuse why
your wannabe superstar Cotto is not that big of a draw.
