I take it you don't like Pac. He does have skills (combination punching, head movement, doubling/tripling his jab, body work). Most Mexican fighters fight just like you described homey. It's what makes em exciting. They might have skills but they don't always use em cuz they got the balls to man up and just plain throw shots in a give and take fight. And he ain't been knocked out for quite a long time.

I'd just take it to mean that skills or no, he comes to fight.
Lots of other boxers out there have all the skill in the world,
but never lay it out in the ring, much less face quality opponents.

'Perhaps, saying "Pac fights like a Mexican" isnt saying much, because
Filipinos and Mexicans just have too much in common.

Mexicans and Filipinos have a shared ancestry going back thousands of years.
Both originally Asian stock; both crossed landbridges to get to where they live,
and both royally screwed over by Spaniards.*
Mexicans were maltreated much worse, though --medium and long term.

Filipinos at least were able to fully retain their native languages, and weren't
subjected to outright slavery of the brutal sort used in the Americas.

I have poor skill in Spanish, partly because I use only as much of it as I need,
to get by in archival research. Same goes for my English: I use it only
as much as is needed. I love the fact that nuch of the language of my ancient
forefathers' forefathers is still common speech, and ever will be, though
quite a bit of Tagalog today is fortified with imported Aztec and Spanish.
