Spadafora Decisions Howard, Eyes June Return

Former champion Paulie Spadafora (41-0, 16KOs) returned at the Avalon Hotel in Erie, Pennsylvania to win an eight-round decision over Shad Howard (13-11, 6KOs) in a welterweight bout. It was Spadafora's first bout in over a year, but he already plans to return to the ring on June 14 in Indiana. [details]

Spadafora is a good fighter, couple more tune ups he may up for a title shot or something.

I guess he's slow walking his way back.

            A 13-11 opponent.

It's good to see him back although I think he should fight at jr. welterweight and not welterweight since he was a career lightweight.

Too small at Welter - think he's just looking for a big payday against a big name.

Also thought he supposed to be seriously on the comeback trail about a year ago, from what I remember. Whatever happened to that?

If he gets down to JW & starts fighting every couple of months, then is time to take him seriously, but this...

he messed up his parole or some ****. but he says he's finally clean and happy with his wife and kid, and training hard. so i think he is real serious and can make a great comeback.
