That's what I think is funny, some people on this site think dudes can lose 5-7 pounds in an hour like it's nothing. Stuff doesn't happen like that, you always hear of guys coming in heavy and trying to lose the weight after two attempts or whatever and they can't do it. Often times, it's lost over a period of a week or so, if you lose too much water at one time, your kidneys will shut down.
Guys can and do lose weight that quickly. If its 5 pounds under you're regular weight, thats easy. But a guy like chavez jr cant do that. For most guys who come in over, its usually very little, under a pound and is usually due to differences in scales

Didn't seem to work out for Ramos tonight nor Rios in a few fights. I know Ramos took the fight on short notice but it just goes to show you that gaining and losing massive amounts of weight in a day isn't natural. I now I can lose about 5 pounds or so in about an 1.5 hours or 2 but I know what it takes to lose that weight....no sweat suits, not saunas...just hard work. Half a pound or a pound in an hour, sure, cake-walk.....5 pounds isn't easy unless you are using suits and stuff.
