He is a journeyman, which people get confused as a diss. Journeyman is a step below master, I certainly wouldn't call Beltran a master boxer.

He is a solid vet, who comes to fight any real top end guy should hand him his ass though.

Stoppage on cuts? i was at the fight and maybe it seemed like a boxing lesson by Linares but he was wincing at every punch the whole night, it was only matter of time as far as I was concerned watching the fight play out. Demarco was stalking and Linares was finished

Maybe his last fight was stopped prematurely i wont bother arguing that because it's irrelevant in his case.... why he was on the floor to begin with against Thompson in the first place... his confidence is probably at an all time low right now

i don't think it seemed like linares was giving a boxing lesson.........linares was doing just enough to bank up the rounds (thats what had him up on my card before the stoppage, which was mainly because of the blood & cuts) if linares finished that fight he would have won a decision on my card (& most peoples cards)

& yes, i thought the fight against Thompson was stopped premature..........why was he on the canvas to begin with? because he was hurt from a shot (which is apart of boxing?) you don't stop a fight premature because of a knock down. thompson himself almost went down in the 1st..........the only thing that i agree with is linares confidence is off.

yea, and as soon as the fight is made, ppl will talk **** about it. beltran is a journeyman. and he isnt even better than escobedo. i dont think that fight would do much for broner but make him look good.

People are gonna talk **** regardless lol. But seeing as how Beltran just proved his worth, he deserves some sort of payoff from this performance. Sure, he didn't deserve the opportunity to begin with, but is it his fault that he got cherry-picked? that's all on Team Lundy. I wouldn't be mad with a Beltran/Linares, but then that leaves Broner to twiddle his thumbs. Broner could also fight Abril too, but doubt that will happen.

well this is true. lol, theres gonna be a lot of bellyaching no matter who he fights unless its gamboa.

It just won't matter and even when he sees the top guys probably after a fight or two, there will be some issue with why they aren't the right guy at the right time.

I certainly ain't trying to fight this battle with Broner, some new cats can fight that battle and earn their stripes.
