I think it's a combination of both, also, you can't use the face shell defense and not have a solid chin, Lozano has zero head movement.

The only fight I want to see Vanes in, is against Kirkland let's see what happens when someone will make him have to fight the whole time, not just do enough do more.

        Kirkland would brutally stop him.

VCU is a joke....whoever made up these ranking is a complete moron, not accurate at all. Martirosyan sucks as well, tell him to retire.

I wish FNF would have more quality fighters sometimes.

I honestly always thought Tapia was going to be TR's next gen Vanes but after the Kirkland fight at least he showed he would go all out so I'd go w/Tapia as long as he's recovered.

I guess so, Lozano took a lot of flush shots but never went away. Tough guy.

Vanes should take another 2 fights or so at this level to get acquainted with Goosen before going after the top 154 pounders again in my opinion.

Good comeback fight for Vanes to get his confidence back. Teddy is right in that he should work on jabbing which would be good for him because he is tall and rangy and getting rid of that bounce which would be harder.

Still it is his first fight with a new trainer and all that stuff takes time I don't know that Vanes will have a ton of big time opportunities right away so he might get the fights he needs to develop a real partnership with Goosen.

I don't know that he could ever win a title but I do think he is a solid test for most anyone at 154
