    Richard Hall vs. Dariusz Michalczewski

Ive heard people, like Calzaghe, mention that Hall went over to Germany and really beat up on Darius. Also from what Ive read online, there was controversy concerning these fights, but Ive also read that they were pretty good action fights.

for anyone who has seen either fight, can you give an account of what happened in them?

I have not seen the fights, but Richard Hall is a friend of mine who has told me to no end about how he felt he had been robbed. Then again, he had a lot of explanations about a lot of different fights so you never know.

From what I've heard, Hall had been putting bad whoopings on Michaelczewski before some BS stoppages, which I can believe given their styles. Hall was a beast of a puncher and when healthy could hang with anyone in the division. People discount him because of what Roy Jones did to him, but let's remember that was Roy F'ing Jones we're talking about.

Both guys were taxed in those fights, from what I've heard.

Richard Hall is a nice guy, but he has had some problems with putting boxing first. He had been partying a lot with Kassim Ouma and when they got together they were a badass team. Not good for boxing, though.

Right now he is in the best shape of his life. He doesn't even drink anymore. He rededicated and got the KO over Byron Mitchell, hopefully he can parlay that into some other big fights.

If you ever want to see a serious boxing war, watch Ouma and Hall spar. Both of those guys are bad mofos and they quickly get heated. They'll be cussing up a storm and getting intense. Then they'll hang out like all is well.

In the Rico Hoye fight, people don't know that he went into that fight with a spinal injury after a motorcycle accident. He still lasted 4 rounds.

To me, this quote sums up Hall.

“People pay their money to see guys go duke for duke. It’s a blood sport. If people don’t have fighters that inspire them, they will go to UFC. I don’t believe in the judges, they don’t see what goes on in the ring. I love the knockout. If the fight goes to the decision, I feel like I’m cheating the fans. I’m still the roughest Jamaican bad boy in boxing.”
