True Floyd fans would want him to prove it not speak it.

This is how it stands as of today.
Floyd Mayweather Jr (WBC & Ring Magazine Champion)
Miguel Cotto (WBA Welter weight Champion)
Antonio Margarito (IBF Welter weight Champion)
Carlos Quintana (WBO welter weight champion)

Now if your a true fan of the sport and of Floyd to be honest with you, then these fights here make the most sense for Floyd. as a long time fan of the sport I have always wanted to find out who the best of each divison really is considering we have so many belts to call too many fighters the champ the only way to find out is if they all fight each other.

Now someone who is not a fan but more of a nuthugger is the kind of person who doesnt want that to happen, basicly its kind of like saying my guy is the best becuase of public opinion and though that does hold some truth public opinion can only carry you so far in this sport sooner or later you put up or shut up.

its a double edged swored here when it comes to this issue, becuase people just seem to find excuses to hate on one fighter over the other. is Floyd Mayweather Jr the best at welter weight? the public thinks he is, well so do the experts, However there is only one way to find this out and the public along with those same experts know this so honestly its just a matter of time.
Why is Floyd giving Oscar a rematch? Money sure, but I also think its for the same reason that he gave Castillo a rematch the fight might have been too close for his comfort.

However there is no justification for a rematch with Hatton even Floyd fans know this. we can all sit back here and argue until we are blue in the face that this would happen or that would happen, but lets be real make it happen, if you beleive this or that will happen should he fight Cotto or Margarito then let the ****ing fight take place.

I mean for god sakes if this man is the best dont you want to see the best of this man? if you answer yes then there is a price that comes along with showing your best, that means you have to face the best period.

Right now as it stands Cotto and Margarito are both the best available opponents for Floyd Mayweather Jr. and if you really say that your a fan of this sport and not a nuthugger then you would understand that in order to remain on top you have to take some risk.

its hard to tell what would happen should he fight either of these two becuase he hasnt fought a legit welter weight in their prime to date that would be a huge question Floyd would have to answer when he meets up with one (if he meets up with one)

you can hate on Cotto or Margarito all you want, but the glory would be all yours if Floyd fought them both and beat them both. I will admit Floyd right now seems to be but I am not sold on him entirely. and what makes it harder is figuering out which of you are speaking in behalf of Floyd based on Logic and which of you are speaking in behalf of him out of hate.

Bottom line is, when your a title holder there is an expectation that comes along with it, people want unification people want clarity the people want to find out who really is the best welter weight, and in my eyes until Floyd fights them we can only say he is the most skilled of the welters we can NOT call him the best not until he takes some risk.

What I dont understand is why his fans find it so hard to understand why he should fight these guys, I mean if your the best you must fight the best period, there will always be public demand for that especially for unification.
Secondly people will use just about any excuse to justify Floyd not fighting Margarito, siting losses early in his career etc... well here is my answer to that, Wlad Klitschko the current Ring Magazine HW Champ the peoples champ as is Mayweather, Lost to Ross Purritty, got knocked out by Corrie Sanders who was well past his prime and who also was knocked out by Rahman, he was also knocked out by Brewster.

Somehow those losses dont stand out right now, and with those losses Wlad still ended up becoming the Best Heavyweight and the true Champion of them all. However there is still a few more belts for Wlad to get but the difference here is Wlad is going after them unlike Floyd.

so to sum it up, speak of the losses on Margaritos resume, fine, but that still does not change the fact that he is the current Welter Weight Champion (IBF) who is fighting Cotto to unify, (Something the best do) and the winner of that fight which will likely in my eyes be Margarito will be the best Welter out there for Mayweather Jr.

losses do not keep you away from becoming the true champion, its side stepping that does, something Floyd has been doing for too long. sometimes lossing is just as good as winning a good fighter will learn from a loss as Wlad did.

my point is, its time to stop disrespecting these champions and start demanding unification to find out who the best is.

Pretty much all of his fans want to see him fight Cotto or Margarito. I don't know where all these people you speak of are that don't think he should fight them? I'll be the first to admit that as a fan, I'm getting a little fed up with this ****. I don't want to see a DLH rematch or a Hatton rematch I want to see him fight the winner of Cotto vs. Margarito and so do all of the rest of his fans.

With that said, any boxer out there today would fight Oscar because he brings so much money to the table. Even Cotto wants to fight him. I haven't heard any Cotto fans bitching about that.
