I honestly think Pavlik would be an easier fight for Joe than the Hop fight was. At least Jones would show signs of craftiness and new obstacles for Joe to overcome. Also, the fact that Joe hasnt shown TRUE power in his last 2 fights may play a role in the fight seeing how everyone thinks Jones's chin is cracked.

Roy is getting knocked out again before he retires and it could very well be against Calzaghe. The only reason why he is taking this fight with Calzaghe is for a big payday. The fight will be very one sided and he will be stopped late. I know that he is a great fighter but lets be serious here for a second. You didn't see the return of Roy Jones when he fought Trinidad, you seen a shot fighter embarrass a fellow shot fighter for 12 rounds and didn't stop him. Trinidad has been out for 2 years, shut out in his last fight, blown up in weight, past his prime and had no power in that weight class. Nothing wrong with being a Jones fan but there is something wrong with being delusional, which you are if you think that he is has a shot against Calzaghe or any of the young champions. Like i have said, he is a great fighter and was probably the most brilliant to watch when he was in his prime, but lets me serious here.

On topic, i think that the non boxing fans will want to see Calzaghe in there with a big name like Jones, but us boxing fans would love to see him in against Pavlik. That would be one hell of a fight.

              Oh it would be great.

Roy Jones Jr v Joe Calzaghe.

**** me, but that sounds superb

Just like you, i want to see Jones do well too, but please lets not get over our head. His reflexes have slowed, he can't take a punch, hes exposed, he lacks stamina and his foot speed and foot work have slowed dramatically. Let me put it like this, who has he fought or done on his comeback to make you believe that hes not just a shot great? Beating prince whatever? Blown up unranked Hanshaw? Past his prime/out for 2 years/blown up Trinidad? I am not trying to dog Roy because like i have said, he is great. But please, he is damaged goods. Lets just watch the old tapes of him when he was still in his prime.

If you compare ANYONE to prime jones... they look like ****.

                  True story.

This roy only looks like **** when hes compared to what he was when he was 28 years old...

And dont start making bull**** lists cuz i can do the same

                  THe overrated Jeff Lacy?
                  Peter Manfredo?
Split decision over 43 yr old Bernard?

im not down talking joe... i only say that cuz of the excuses your using...

Just because he beat those 3 fighters... DOES NOT MEAN... thats ONLY who he can beat...

obviously i understand roy is the underdog... and realistically speaking he SHOULDNT win.... but i give him the benefit of the doubt... and i think he can still pull it out... even with the odds stacked against him

but thats what real fans are supposed to do.

Say what you want but I think that Jones would be a harder fight for Calzaghe then Pavlik.

                    Thus I voted for Jones.
