Roy Jones would be the best choice. No matter who Joe defeats, the haters will never give him credit, so he should choose the biggest payday, which is Jones.

Defeating Tarver wouldn't prove anything, and if Calzaghe defeated Pavlik or Dawson, they'll just say Pavlik was overrated (like they say Kessler and Lacy were).

As a fan You HAVE to say Pavlik, but from a business perspective... Roy Jones v Calzaghe in Wales! Two future 1st ballot hall-of-famers, it should do pretty good numbers (along with a DAMN good payday), even if the fight is 10ys (or so) too late!

i think at this stage in his career he should just be adding scalps to his resume, so if i was speaking with the interest of his long-term legacy in mind i'd say Jones Jr, then Tarver, then maybe one of the other two

but as a boxing fan i'd say Jones, then Pavlik, then Dawson

so either way it'd be Jones

That's what I was thinkin. Roy is the man by default, but gettin greedy has cost him some fights in the past. The poll is more about who he should fight if he don't face Roy next. And of course I've heard some people whinin about Roy not desrevin the shot just cuz he beat Felix.

If the Jones fight can't be made, then it really makes Joe's next opponent a total toss up.

Out of that list I think the only one able to take Joe's 0 is Pavlik, I wouldnt really wanna see that fight, RJJ would be safer IMO and it would make a lot of money.

As he beat Hopkins who demolished Tarver I can't see the value there. Ditto Woods. Dawson looked awful against Johnson and brings no money to the table.

It's either Pavlik or Jones. Pavlik would be an idiot to take the fight as he's tailor made for Calzaghe so it'll be Jones. My money's on it being in the States though.
