A couple questions regarding Joan Guzman...

He was with Golden Boy, but he was co-promoted with Sycuan Boxing. As far as I know, he's still with Golden Boy? I'm not too sure, but I haven't heard anything otherwise, he could just be Sycuan right now. MY guess is that Golden Boy will take a bigger role in promoting him once he fights(beats) Arthur and becomes a serious threat to anyone at 130 or 135.

Jeff WAS supposed to be training Guzman (I posted the FightHype video of him explaining the situation) since big Floyd was training Oscar. Now, with Jeff training Forbes and Big Floyd training Oscar, I have no idea wtf is going on. Jeff did say that the camp was supposed to be in Vegas with Guzman, so who knows, maybe Jeff has been training them both. My guess is he won't be in Guzman's corner come May 3rd, he'll be in Forbes'.

Thanks for the reply. It's a really bizarre scenario and I can't think of another time when someones trainer leaves their fighter to train a lessor fighter who should get their ass kicked on the same exact night. I think it kind of shows who the Mayweathers loyalty is really to ($$$).

Its really sad to see a fighter like Guzman just put to the side like this when there are a more then 1 top promoters that can put him on star status with the right fights. Golden Boy and Sycumore have done few for Guzman, first the Barrios fight then the Soto fight and he is still unknown and hardly talked about ****en shame with his talent. We hear of the old time fighters get ducked or avoided, Guzman is getting avoided by the very top guys. I hope someone else besides Soto steps up and fights this guy.
