I agree, even if Cotto loses to Margarito, he probably still won't want to take the risk and tarnish his "Legacy".

LOL so many dreamers in here. If Cotto vs. Mayweather was going to happen, It would have happened already. It never will.

Mayweather has no interest in fighting Cotto, this popularity/money/callout excuse is just smoke and mirrors people. Just step back, take a good long look at the situation and you will see the trend.

It is not ****ing Rocket Science. Cotto knows it and is probably tired of being asked about it at this point.

Mayweather has no interest in fighting any big and dangerous welterweights in their prime. He wants easy paydays and that is it.

I agree with this. He's even stated that he has other interests than boxing on one of those 24/7 episodes. In his mind he feels he has nothing left to prove.

But I think they will fight it's just that it's a while away, so we should move on.

It will happen if Floyd gives a **** about truly bein a great fighter. That remains to be seen. It also remains to be seen if Cotto can beat Margarito.

It's no secret that the fight didn't happen at 140 because Top Rank were still baby feeding Cotto. It never happened at 147 because Top Rank didn't want it too.
