If he sticks to his word, he will retire.

I think Bernard could still beat Tarver, Jones, probably Dawson. Thing is its not like he would be gaining much other than money in these fights, so there isn't much compelling reason for him to continue.

Hopkins is not thru with boxing. There is no way Hopkins can retire after Calzaghe humiliated him when he was crawling around on the floor in the ring. Hopkins can sell a fight and I expect him to try to get a rematch with either Calzaghe or Taylor. Besides the millions he can still make will be to much for him to pass up. Two things Hopkins finds irristable. The money and the media spotlight.

Hopkins might be able to pull off against a number of light heavys, or super middles, but they'd all be ugly fights that nobody would like to watch, and most people would still think Hopkins lost.

The thought of a Taylor rematch never even crossed my mind before. If they could agree on a weight I'd love to see that ****. It would probably be boring as **** again but I was bitter as hell a few years back when Taylor got those 2 decisions. It's doubtful the public would go for it but if given a choice of 1 more fight for him I'd love to see Hopkins end his career by punkin out Taylor once and for all.
