Manny Pacquiao is certainly not looking past his June 28 opponent, WBC lightweight champion David Diaz. Pacquiao moves up in weight to challenge Diaz for the title at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Diaz has already signed for the fight. Pacquiao has not signed as of yet, but he agreed to the terms of the fight in principle and most expect him to sign the deal in the next few days. [details]

of course, pacman is not taking david diaz lightly. he is the smaller guy, and this is his first outing in 135lbs. diaz is dangerous. pacman should train hard for this fight.
but i almost smell the sweetest victory... and the world record for...

Is Pacman the best boxer in the 130lbs Weight Division?
If so what has he done to show that?
Beat Marquez, controversial both times, not really. Not convincing. Yet, some claim he's the best.
Lets look at: 130lbs
1.) What about WBA CHAMPION: Edwin Valero (Venezuela) too hard for Pacman. Bob Arum is scared his money maker will get TKOed by Valero. And it seems Pacman is scared of Valero.
2.) IBF CHAMPION: Mzonke Fana (South Africa)?
I'll admit Waste of time for Pacman.
3.) WBO CHAMPION: Joan Guzman (Dom. R.)? Too hard for Pacman and Bob Arum knows this. It seems like Pacman knows this also.
Lets move upto 135lbs.
Juan Diaz called him out several times while champ and Bob Arum was like quiet and Pacman was like quiet. Silence..... Was it fear, too risky. Yet Manny is the best. Right.
David Diaz gets the belt and what do you know. Bob Arum and Pacman are all over that one. We want to fight him. David Diaz doesnt really have a choice or a chance. Freddie Roach, Bob Arum and David Diaz himself basically admitted this.
Easy fight for Pacman and that makes him the best?
Pacman hasnt cleaned up the 130lbs weight class like Joan Guzman and Valero. He doesnt have to gain weight its there and they want to fight him. BUT PACMAN says no or hindi. Joan Guzman has the belt and Valero does too.
Juan Diaz (135lbs) had 3 belts at one time and challenged Pacman. Bob Arum's response? Pacman's response?
Truth: Juan Diaz is a threat because he's young, in his prime, and a good boxer. The guy won 3 belts from 3 different fighters in 2-3 years.
and Pacman well, lets keep lookin for easy fighter for him. those who were once good and not in their prime anymore. or cant really box.

Pac already fought the best in 130,Marquez,Barrera and Morales and he beat them all...Pac is scared of Valero?!Pac has nothing to prove with this garbage...Just look at the next opponent of Valero...
And he goes up to 135 to fight David Diaz,I dont think it's an easy fight this is his first fight at 135...We don't even know if he can still carry his speed and power at 135....Comment

Only natural for Pac to take on the least regarded of the 135 lb champs in his first fight there. Diaz is tough enough to make Manny prove he can hang at lightweight. Even though it looks like a sure win he can't underestimate Diaz cuz he's bigger and stronger.Comment

Mega Fight With Khan?!
Khan is 17-0 and untested, nearly got his head removed from his shoulders last year by a bum. Mega fight, this is why people in the States call over sea fighters protected and no good. 17-0 and his fans start calling out 46-3(and someone who's in the top five pound for pound), and none of his 17 wins were over anyone with a name. Matrin Kristijansen who he knocked out in his last fight, won a S/D over Mircea Lurci who's rec. was at the time 13-12, but now 14-16. Mega Ass Kicking is what Kahn would get right now if he thinks he can take on Manny. But I do think Khan has talent, just let the kid grow and stop this silly talk with big names.Comment
