How much did Hopkins weigh?

HBO commented that Bernard chose not to take the optional HBO weigh in on the day of the fight. One may assume that this was to disguise a weight advantage Hopkins did not wish to disclose.

So what weight do you guys think Bernard came into the ring at? At times he looked like a monster compared to Joe - but perhaps that was the muscle definition. Joe didn't have much in that department.

Is it possible that Joe's slight frame made Bernard appear larger is standard for LHW?

naw hopkins wouldnt sacrifice whatever speed he had on that night by putting extra weight. he didnt need to anyway, all that talk about him getting physical was bull****, hopkins new he was coming to box just as well as anyone who doesnt buy into the bull**** he says. he didnt need extra weight. he chose not to reveal his weight for psychological reasons, pre fight mystique of intimidation. joe's frame made hopkins bigger than he actually was.

if you look at his middleweight fights he never gained too much weight when rehydrating. he did it for tarver though

Well, Calzaghe weighed 181 at fight time and Hopkins looked at least 10 pounds heavier if not more. 189-195 sounds about right for fight time, this was probably intentional as he made wanted to grapple and muscle Joe all night.
