    I'd have to say J.C.Chavez.

I have a very very very easy decision to make as to who it is for me:

Yep. Morales is/was a bad dude who could box, brawl and fought with heart every time out.

I'd have to agree with Morales, or perhaps Barrera. Another great choice?

Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield - Warrior, who fought anyone, and stood toe to toe with the best of his time, and even the best past his time.

My boy is the Winkster too. I don't think it is even in the discussion about which one is more of a "fighter".

You should PM me why you scored Vazquez-Wright for Wright by the way. I am very interested to hear.

This one will be a bit controversial to some ears, but here goes: James Toney
(some of this may not apply to the current iteration of Toney)

He literally loves to fight, he fights often, and he will fight anybody. He is utterly relaxed in the ring, and would probably be there even if he was getting paid peanuts. The fact that he enjoys it himself I think rubs off on the audience. This is something you don't get with boxers who fight primarily for money (Mayweather), or those who fight solely for money and actually dislike boxing itself (Cotto).

He has a great defense, and he is a skilled fighter, but he isn't afraid to take risks or get nailed.

Of course his conditioning is a subject of great hiliarity, and he has been roiding for awhile now. But I don't think that prohibits him from embodying the fighter.

Might I ask what gives you this idea?

Cotto fights only for the money and DISLIKES boxing?

He's been boxing since he was 11.

He probably didn't make a penny until his very late teens or early twenties.

              Please explain...

I did see James Toney jumping up and down in absolute jubilation in the crowd when Corrales knocked Castillo out in their 2005 FOTY. He definately loves the sport more than anything.

Thats just how I've heard him described. Its not supposed to be a slam. He's a great fighter. I remember a quote from him...someone asked who his favorite fighter was, and he said something like "I don't really like boxing" and then finally settled on Holyfield.

Perhaps I've got him all wrong, and I'd be happy to be corrected. Thoughts?
