Other fighters who grew old before their time.............Wilfred Benitez (mid 20s), , Naseem Hamed (28), definately Vargas, Rid**** Bowe (28), David Reid, even Sugar Ray Leonard (only 34 against Norris).

But the winner goes to Mike Tyson at 24!

the thing about this is that its easy to say that fighters like Erik were foolish and not smart for fighting the way he did, but the fact is, THATS what made Erik who he is right now. BECAUSE of the way he fought, BECAUSE he was a FIGHTER, he will always be remembered as a legend and beloved by the fans. Any other Erik Morales simply wouldnt be the Erik we love today.

that is true, specially maintaining that weight

that and his heavy penchant for coke binges, excess drinking, and hard partying didnt help either

you start getting into tough fights at a young age it wears your body down physically, you slowly deteriorate. the trilogy with barrera, trilogy with pacquiao....this kind of **** puts you in the hospital. but i heard that morales wants to fight, i dont think he's too bad despite what others say. he's not the morales of old but he's not finished. in a period of one year he was exchanging bombs with manny where he gave his soul out. he gave a very tough fight to diaz, and now he wants to come back. i hear he may fight barrera for the fourth time.

couple of other names that come to mind are vargas and bowe. the three evander fights destroyed Rid****. and of course his eating habbits sealed the deal.

Morales coming off 4 straight loses doesnt help, obviously if he was still winning some fights hed still be fighting, im thinking all those wars had to catch up to him cause i dont think he looked that great against David Diaz and Morales is much better fighter than him in his prime, id rather see him retire than lose to guys i know hes better than, Raheem, Diaz etc.
