According to The Mirror, lightweight superstar Amir Khan, and his promoter Frank Warren, are pushing hard for the young superstar to make his American debut on June 28 undercard to David Diaz-Manny Pacquiao at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Warren is attempting to secure permission from UK network ITV because they hold the broadcast rights to Khan's next fight. [details]

Good. Does anyone think its possible that Warren is thinking of taking a different route with Khan than the usual stay at home and defend? Khan has more obvious potential than nearly any other fighter in the world, and if he can live it up would be a ready made superstar. No need to build to slowly, just put him in with the top guys. I think it's quite possible, Warren must be aware that he can make even more money in the States and if Khan is up to the job then he's a dream ticket.According to The Mirror, lightweight superstar Amir Khan, and his promoter Frank Warren, are pushing hard for the young superstar to make his American debut on June 28 undercard to David Diaz-Manny Pacquiao at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. This is a good move by Khan and his team, but i just hope they line him up with a worthwihile opponent. He has worked himself up the rankings well and i'd like to see him consolidate his posistion by facing a ranked opponent. I understand Wank Warren will like him to have a gimme on his US debut, but a fight with someone like Javier Jauregui would be a good first fight in the US.Comment

i just hope they set the guy up with a decent fight. I live in Manchester, England..pretty much 10mins away from Bolton so i SHOULD be a Khan fan i suppose....
i ve just lost soooo much respect for the guy and Warren with the way hes been handled...Plus hes a ****y little **** lol
Fair enough its the beginning of his career and he needs the "easy" fights to start with but after the fights he walks around like a world beater and talks about world titles, America and moving to Jr WW....come on Khan, you ve not even beaten a decent puncher yet let alone a top 10 lightweight!!
The respect will be back and i will be a fan if he and Warren shows some bottle in the next couple of fights, win or lose!! Hes a decent talent but i say be a little more humble, what hes done so far shouldnt earn him a world title fight just yet, i dont care what the WBO rankings say

Am I the only one who doesn't think Amir is ****y and arrogant? I like the kid, he's got skills and seems humble yet confident. I like that.

lol whoever said he had problems against Krisjansen wasn't watching the fight. Khan had him out in the 7th (albiet contraversially) and Marteen definitely wasn't going past 8. Since he hadn't been knocked out before I think that's pretty good from Khan. Also, he's still very young so its just ridiculous when people start sounding off against him. I hope he goes to the states and lays the smack down on a decent fighter, which I have no doubt that he will.Comment

Hell yeah, he beat him very clearly. He needs a better quality opponent to give him a real good test, though.
