    Tarver vs Dawson

Hello first time poster...Whats your guys thoughts on a potential Tarver vs Dawson fight? I am a big Chad Dawson fan and thought he handled adversity very well against Glen Johnson. Tarver has looked pretty good in his last few fights and think this could have the potiental of a VERY GOOD FIGHT..

I agree - this is one of the best matchups that can be made in boxing right now. But Dawson must face Diaconu first, according to the WBC.

If a Tarver fight can be made, I expect Dawson to drop his belt to fight for Tarver's IBF title. Basically the same thing Margarito is doing to fight Cotto.

In boxing history very often the young lions devour the old ones, and that's what I expect in a Dawson-Tarver fight. Dawson by unanimous decision, and this time it won't be controversial.

Ya i think so too but it will be tough. The 1 thing that really worries me in this matchup is Dawsons punching power. We all now that he has the speed but can he hurt Tarver especially in the early rounds..........................................I just hope they get this deal locked up. Im sure Showtime will do everything they can to get this done cause these are the only 2 big name fighters they have left and Dawson is a rising star.

Tarver isn't busy enought to beat Dawson. Judges seem to love activity these days, hence all the points that slappity slap slap gets for what equates to the powerpunching of a fourteen year old.
