Kellerman comes across as an ass much of the time. I think there's something wrong with him - check out his eyes sometime...

Only a mentally challenged person would fail to notice that.

I wish they had Foreman or Jones back on there, they were much more personable than Max.

I agree that Max Kellerman comes off as an ass at times but I really don't think he would make a mistake like that deliberately just to discredit Calzaghe because any boxing pundit knows that his statement was untrue.

Are you saying that he might have done it on purpose to mislead the casual fan or someone who wouldn't second guess that? Kellerman is a douche sometimes but he seems to pride himself on his boxing knowledge that's why I don't think he would do that..

Besides if Kellerman wanted to discredit Calzaghe he would have said that Hopkins was old and the fight really didn't prove anything.

He could have been much more "Nice guy" trying to discredit fighter A. For example, see Manny Steward.

I don't know, but one time he said he wanted Sam Peter to defeat W. Klitschko before the 2005 fight, because Wlad would quit if he lost and "boxing would be better off without Wladimir Klitschko" (Max was with ESPN at that time).

No, I think he's just a tactless *******s sometimes. He seems to try to keep his negative feelings for certain fighters out of his commentary, but it "slips out" from time to time. Max is as much of a fanboy of certain fighters and a hater of others as some of the people in this forum. He seems immature for such a high-profile job.

The fact is, some people are just obnoxious. Haven't you ever met anyone like that?

To be honest, Boxing would be better off without Wladimir Klitchsko, even if he's a great fighter.

Do I understand why he's that way? No.
I've never heard Kellerman's comments on Klitschko, that is ****ed up if he said that. Still, I'm not sure he would deliberately make that mistake.

And that post is evidence of what I previously said: some people are just obnoxious.

What exactly do you mean? Why would boxing be better off without the best current HW in the world? I don't get it.....

Well the Heavyweight division in general....

Wlad is a great fighter and I personally don't mind him, but for the heavyweight division it'd be a lot better if they were all gone.

From a unification stand point, yes it's good. Though for people to get back into boxing into the states...Wlad isn't really the answer.

It will never be gone but I can see what you are saying. I don't find the HW division nearly as exciting as some of the lower weight classes. It's not Wladimir's fault though, he figured out how to dominate the weight class.
