Used by ken norton, montell griffin, joe frazier, thats the way i like to box with that style what do you guys think of it?
Am a big fan of norton and griffin's work both very talented and underrated fighters and i like there unique, which i also use, and am a southpaw which is even more rare with that style of boxing

Just like any other style...for every hundred guys that learn it, only a handful will turn it into a work of art. The shell's emphasis on parries makes quick guys with a good jab a nightmare for anyone but leaves them lacking power. In order to throw a power shot you have to abandon the shell style for a split second, leaving a huge opening in your defense. I would only the shell guard in defending myself in the streets because the parry system allows for quick armbreaks that wont put you at risk of getting hit flush.
