It must be awfully hard to win a decision over Calzaghe.

I'm being serious. He throws a ton of punches. It seems the only way to beat him is to knock him out because you certainly aren't gonna outwork him. His workrate is such a big reason he wins, even if his punches mean ****.

I'm not just talking about the Hopkins fight. I mean in general. His style of fighting seems like he always get the nod in close rounds, even if he doesn't land anything substantial.

The only fighter I would ever see winning a decision against Calzaghe is a prime Roy Jones Jr. but hopefully well see if thats possible for Roy at this age.

He can also box, as seen in the Kessler fight.

As Roy Jones said before, you can't win a decision against Calzaghe, you have to knock him out.

His punches only tend to be unsubstantial when he's got someone covering up and he's letting loose, like he did against Manfredo.

However when he's picking his punches he punches well. Which he couldn't do with Hopkins, since he kept linking his arm like a jealous girlfriend.

Very valid points. If you can't outwork your opponent, then you'd better at least hurt him.

Roy in his prime may have had super man abilities and looked better than Calzaghe but he never had that tremendous work rate and chin.
