I agree: I like both fighters and Calzaghe won.I think a lot of people on these boards are more in love with their favourite fighters than actually interested in watching boxing itself. Read whatever Freudian connotations into that as you wish.

Why? I thought Calzaghe won on points but it was the worst possible win you could imagine. He got dropped, took the harder punches all night and looked like ****. He barley managed to outwork Bernard with meaningless punches because Hopkins was 43 and shot. It was not a win to be proud of. The only thing it proved to me was that Calzaghe isn't half the fighter Hopkins was.
