He has his flaws, such as boxing skills but his qualities far outweigh boxing skills. He's marketable, friendly to ALL fans (I remember him praising Candian fans, and seeming to be sincere), has a good chin in general, great power, great conditioning, easy to promote, and tryna fight ANYONE while fearing no one. That's just a great fighter to watch.

He may never be great, but he's great to watch. And sometimes that's more than enough. It also speaks well for him that the only person to ever TRULY beat him, seeing as how I don't believe he deserved the loss against Abraham, would be Kelly Pavlik. Seeing as how Pavlik would later go on to so much success, Miranda looks better by being able to say, 'Yeah, I got beat. But by THAT guy."

    Great fighter to watch.

Miranda's just like Mayorga. Doubtful he'll beat any really good boxers, but he's got the power to KO anybody, he ain't afraid to talk ****, and cuz he's fun as **** to watch he'll never run out of fans. I'm glad he's gettin the AA rematch. Kessler's a damn fool for backin out.

naw he aint like mayorga, he talks **** like him, but he's not as reckless. mayorga, throws those wide, roundhouse looping punches, and gets a little too excited leaving himself open. miranda actually tries to box more, and he's also a little slower than maya.

Thats why fights like PAVLIK-MIRANDA should get made a lot more. Cause if you make these fights while they are almost at the championship level, then the winner would get a shot at the title and the loser could go back to the drawing board and would have all the time in the world to make it back up to the top.

I think the Pavlik fight will help Mirandas career in the long run.
A loss is not that dramatic for a fighter. Undefeated records are overrated.
Fighter definitely should take more risky fights. If they lose its not dramatic.
If they lose to a huge underdog though, its another story. Its hard to regain reputation after such an awfull loss. The worst thing a fighter can do is to quit, like Bell did against Adamek!! But if you give your best and fight like a warrior you will still be respected, even if you lose.

I still watch his bout with Pavlik at least once a week. It was a real barn burner. It was the best fight of last year IMO. The second round, was one of the best rounds I have ever seen period.
Yes that was a great fight. Some people even say it was a one sided execution but Miranda had his moments too but somehow he couldnt hurt Pavlik.Miranda lost this fight but he didnt blame himself. Miranda should be respected as a fighter. As a fight fan you have to like the guy.

Agreed! I think too many fighters are overly concerned with this now-a-days. Every great fighter (except Marciano) have losses on their records and it doesn't make them any less great!

The bottom line is, there is always someone who can beat you. If a boxer hasn't lost a fight, he just hasn't fought the right guy at the right time IMO.

Miranda is one win (maybe two) away from being back on 'top' of hype.
If he KO's Abraham, he will get a title fight for sure at 168lbs. If he wins that fight, everyone will want the rematch with Pavlik at 168lbs and understand the weight issue he had at middle weight.

Miranda has an usual opportunity to revenge both his loses at make the world believe he is upstoppable at 168lbs. Will it happen? I will keep my fingers crossed, but just to have the chance is pretty amazing.

the fans respect a man who is a real fighter and a true warrior so it was easy for miranda to come back. if some coward like mayweather started to go on a losing streak his career would be over because the real boxing fans would be glad to get him out of the spotlight.
