Bernard Retires: the good, the bad, and the ugly!

    The Good:

According to an interview on the site that talks about boxing, Bernard Hopkins has "nothing else to prove" and has "no motivation" to continue fighting. After promising his mother that he wouldn't fight past 40, the now-43-year-old seems to be calling it quits. I, for one, certainly wish he'd have respected his promise to his mother and retired 3 years ago, after the two Taylor losses.

    The Bad:

We'll have to listen to B-Hops fans complain and say how great a fighter he was. Yes, he's one of the top 10 Middleweights ever, maybe even top 5, but his last 5 years were nothing to write home to mom about.

    The Ugly:

I laughed my ASS off when I saw that live. I rewound it and watched it at least 10 times. It's probably the second most memorable thing I've seen in boxing, not counting KO's (the first was Emanuel Augustus' double punch on Ray Olivera).

          It's just classic!

calz's doggystyle still comes in 2nd IMO to barrera's pure ownage of naz.

there was no theatre, just unscripted, pure animalistic ownage.

                turnbuckle, here's your face.

That's a good one, too. I still like Augustus' double punch. It just looked so, Idunno, Tiger Style! Barrera's turnbuckle ownage is also classic.

IMHO, someone should post this GIF anytime B-Hops name is mentioned.
