The Countdown to De La Hoya-Forbes...

... made me really sad. Forbes seems like the nicest guy ever, and he is going to get an Alfonso Gomez-style assbeating that could possibly end his career. I actually got kind of depressed when I was watching it.

Oh yeah, and Jeff Mayweather actually seems like a human being to me, compared to his brothers which act like uncivilized d-bags.

I wouldn't count Forbes out. With that said, I don't think he's gonna win, but I sure hope he does.

This was a great documentary and i didn't feel the same sentiment for Forbes maybe cause i've known his story before this countdown. But this was a great countdown, seemed to really put Delahoya in another class but showed tons of respect towards Forbes.

Yeah I felt the same way. Forbes has less of a chance then Gomez, but some people just hate Oscar (or Cotto) so bad that they justify thinking that anyone fighting them can beat them. Forbes will not make it to the final bell. Oscar will look like Jesus Christ in the ring against Forbes.

Jeff is a class act. He should never have to suffer for the obnoxiousness of his brothers. I'd love to see him pull off this win and grab the spotlight from his older brother.

Im so glad Oscar is giving himself a break from the death row competition he always is up against. People are going to see again how elite Oscar really is. I could care less about Forbes, he got lucky to even be given the chance to be in the ring with Oscar.
