I scored the fight a draw, i didnt think that Calzaghe won by more than a round, but it could have been Hopkins up by a round.
I dont think anyone could complain with either outcome. I just thought this was one of the worst fights in boxing history. I really think referees need to take control of a fight and establish what the rules are.
Are fighters allowed to clinch at every opportunity and spoil the whole fight.
I just think Calzaghe came to fight, and Hopkins was just there to spoil it.
I dont think Calzaghe fought particularly well, and Hopkins just did what he usually does. He is such a negative fighter that although he is effective, its horrible to watch.
Joe Cortez shouldn`t be allowed to referee world title fights. He seems to change his style every time i see him officiate a fight.
All in all this was a huge letdown, to think i actually paid money to watch that BS.
