Calzaghe aint exactly in his prime either...

This is what I mean when I say Hopkins has built in excuses. He hasnt had anything to lose since the De La Hoya fight. His fans could always say he was too old or past his prime.

But to completely overlook the fact that this was a 36 year old past his prime Calzaghe moving up in weight is laughable.

This was supposed to be another carefully executed business move by Hopkins and it back fired.

Calzaghe wanted to come to America 6-7 years ago to fight hopkins but hopkins pulled out of that fight. Or so what I've heard from hbo, they said both Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr wanted way too much money at that time to fight Calzaghe. I guess that win over Eubank really scared the **** out of some fighters.

There's a big difference between wars in the U.S. against top fighters and 43 compared to 36. As for Hopkins ducking Calzaghe, please, anybody who knows boxing knows he has fought everybody during his career. Hopkins is past his prime, and his day would've destroyed Calzaghe who slaps instead of punches and has horrible technique. Most people don't understand boxing and clearly have never trained in it.

Calzaghe has not been a hard hitter for many years now due to the terrible, debilitating medical condition that he has in his hands, but I still think that if they had fought each other when Calzaghe was in his prime Calzaghe would have won by an even bigger margin.

I thought Calzaghe would lose last night because not many fighters can move up to a totally new weight division and beat the champion, so I am very proud.

I thought it was nice of Joe to praise the American fans at the end and to then go and hug that racist bigot Bernard Hopkins.

STFU with your high and mighty bull****! The same can be said about Bhop fighting many blown up guys who never fought at middle etc..., and technique, please. Bhop has many faults in his own technique, very excessive holding, coming in with the head, etc...but it still works well for him, just as joes techniques have worked for him to the tune of 45-0. Where does it say textbook is the only way to be great? STFU, and stop ur bull****.

Calzaghe is looking old in my opinion. His power is the lowest it's ever been, and so is his speed. I really hope he retires after his next fight, his speed is his main asset.

Calzaghe is passed his prime physically aswell. Your right. But theres a difference between 36 and 43. You know what I mean? But it doesn't matter. Beating Bernard at any age is an accomplishment. Calzaghe deserves credit.

You are not only wrong, but you are obviously bitter, too. Calzaghe, back in the day, was a KO artist. You can argue about Bernard's prime all you want, what he would have done, what if... what if... what if... but the fact is Calzaghe would have hurt Bernard a few years back and probably stopped him. Calzaghe's hands are ****ed now, fortunately for Bernard.

Hopkins DID duck Calzaghe and he knows it.

No disrespect to Calzaghe or his fans but do you think Joe is the better technically skilled fighter? I disagree on that. I think styles make fights and thats why Joe won.
