Roy Jones versus Joe Calzaghe: Who wins?

    Very simple one.

Both are speedy and Roy doesn't have to worry about Joe's pop or lack thereof.

Can RJJ pull off the victory or does Joe beat him on workrate?

Joe will beat Jones up he really needs to fight Pavlik.

Hopkins did however lay the blue print on beating Calzaghe and thats to run and not engage but by doing that you have little hope on the scorecards.

Clarify something for me; you think Pavlik is a tougher fight?

        Hard to say who wins.

Calzaghe can beat Jones by pushing him back to the ropes and outworking him to a decision or even TKO.

Then again, Jones still has very good speed and good power, his lead and counter right hand is still one of the best in boxing and I can see him catching Calzaghe with it all night because Calzaghe's defense for a right hand is still not very good.

Those are the 2 most likely scenarios IMO.

Honestly i give Roy a real shot! Jones to win and possibly by KO!
Then again i picked Lacy and Kessler to win and even thought Hopkins might squeak it.
Pavlik would be fodder to Calzaghe

Roy Jones is still very fast and has power, Calzaghe doen't have the power to keep him off of him. RJJ will walk right through his slaps and hit him with hard effective punches. Roy Jones counterpunching will win this fight for him> Roy Jones KO 10th.

Obviously, the Jones of the 90's would beat the brakes off of last night's Calzaghe.
What makes it intriguing is that Calzaghe has a nice workrate(normally) but he throws really wide shots even when he's in close.
I think Jones would actually still have a good chance with short crisp shots and I think the check left hook would actually work although not knockout Joe.Joe could outhustle him though as RJJ tend to take rounds off and that could be the deciding factor.

I think Jones made noise about it last night and Friday because he realized Cal doesn't have the pop in his punches to threaten him like Johnson and Tarver did.

I think that Calzaghe would win by stoppage in about the 8th. Even though Cal's power hasn't been great since he hurt his hands he still has enough to hurt RJJ's jaw, also RJJ doesn't posses the stamina to outwork Joe, Body shots would bring down Roy's hands and then his chin would be exposed (again).
