I had barrera winning that fight, I felt like his defense and counter punching abilities won him it. If they had a rematch as of now, he'd probably lose though because he is getting too old.

Yeah, I watched it. I think I had JMM winning a real close one. But I haven't seen the fight in a while. Actually, I'm pretty sure I've only seen it the once.

it was a very close fight. its too bad people will look back and see the scores and think it was one-sided...

If my memory is correct, Barrera lost pretty much all of the last rounds...that was due to how many tough fights he had been through, he tended to fade down the stretch at this point in his career.
up until then, it was very close, arguably Barrera was winning. but those final rounds killed him. so I believe I had him losing by only a round. and thats giving him the knockdown he deserved. beautiful technical fight...it was too bad Barrera had lost a lot of his power and stamina by that time.

lol Barrera had absolutley nothing for Marquez. Just about every time he got hit with somthing flush Marco looked dazed or got stopped in his tracks. Barrera can avoid punches no doubt, but he can't send anything back anymore. If Marco ever buckled down, and tried to trade, I think Marquez would have ended it before 12.
