Joe Calzaghe didn't look his best because BHop makes fighters look bad.

BHop has made a career out of neutralizing fighters, which I think is an art in itself. He did a great job of taking Joe out of his comfort zone, his countering made Calzaghe cautious and Joe didn't throw as many effective punches as he would have liked.

Joe did not perform at his best tonight, but I can forgive him because it was his first fight in America, first fight at light heavyweight and he was fighting Bernard.

Holy ****! You are trying to be rational and realistic about this? People want anger and over-the top ridiculous statements right now. Come back with this in month when people are somewhat ready to talk about the fight in reality.

Whos looked good against Hopkins? He is probably one of the most boring offensive boxers in the sport but defensively he is great and he is a great counter puncher but he has never had that exciting style for a long time. When he was younger he actually was quite entertaining but he molded into a defensive fighter way too much.

It's hard to name a fighter who put in a quality performance against Hopkins, maybe Taylor in the first fight but I can't think of another.

Everyone who has followed Calzaghe's career knows he can look horrible when he has to take the lead, and boy did he look horrible at times last night. That made it all the more impressive that he still won comfortably in the circumstances, one corrupt judge aside.

Honestly? I think he was exposed a litte. B-Hop has neutralised people like Taylor and Winky- but they didn't look as terrible as Joe did. Joe stepped up to a fighter with experience and mentality, and for about 4 rounds, the energy to fight- and he looked pitiful.

And even after, he just looked amateurish to me, winning basically on energy and because he wasn't the one re-treating.

If Hopkins didn't retreat Calzaghe wouldn't have looked as bad.

Fair do's to Hopkins for making him look bad but there's a big difference between that and winning the fight. I thinK Hopkins just wanted to make it a close.

Calzaghe won with his B game, if this was at 168 I'd fancy a wider margain.

Ha ha! LMAO! You really think Winky did better against Hopkins that Joe did? Bull****. You are probally a fan of both Winky and Hopkins so you want to say it was a close fight. You also probally don't like the European fighters and refer to them as Euro's and go on and on about how they don't fight the best, Don't fight in Planet America enough, etc.
