    Roy dismisses Hopkins...

Roy is saying he's going to face Calazaghe in a big offensive dustup.

Not the spoiler Hopkins whom he dismisses by saying he's already beat him.

Clearly the negative spoiler style Hopkins uses works against him in the promotional scheme, although it did buy him some extra years at the end of his career.

It seems that Floydy has also entered into this phase of his career. Low offensive output combined with spoiler defensive tactics. Sans the perfectly legal assist from the turnbuckle against Ricky, Floydy is prime to enter the Hopkins controversial phase of fighting with even more disputed decisions.

Joe Wales won the Ring belt, but it's debatable who's the best LH is at the moment. I'd pick Glenn Johnson with the talented Dawson close on his heels regardless of the bogus decsiion that accompanied their entertaining fight.

Yet the big money and the big fight looks like it goes to the offensive fighters that bring the fans, Joe vs Roy.

Nobody to be tuning in to see Floydy against Oscar. They want to see if Oscar is gonna figure out how to whoop him proper this time around. Again, Oscar will set the terms of the fight, and Floyd either falls in line or is out.

Hopkins is effectively out. Nobody wants to fight John Ruiz either. You'd think Hop the promoter could see this day coming rather than whine about it. He's tricky and clever, but can't keep pace anymore and been like that for a few years now.

Skills may pay the bills, but offense draws the fans and pads out the bank account. This fight against Roy in Britain could be HUGE numbers. We shall see.
