Lets be honest here...Hopkins threw and connected about 5 headbutts per round (not exagerating), faked two low blows, and was excessively holding all night long so that Joe could not continue throwing and landing on him.......
Next...Joe Calzaghe took this fight fighting for his first time EVER in the United States giving Hopkins big homefield advantage...and fighting at a weight class that he NEVER has fought in before and clearly came in one size smaller than the much bigger Hopkins.....
BUT after saying that....man i love Hopkins more than ever (not for fighting style b/c this was the FIRST boring Calzaghe fight I have ever seen.....) i mean the guy is 43 FOURTY THREE....taking on one of the..or not the best pound for pound fighters in the world right now....and really was competitive.
Much Love to Hops for trying to defeat one of the best at the age of 43......and now Calzaghe better go fight the winner of Pavlik-Abraham or I take back all respect that i have for him
