yet joe keeps winning. he has done this for a long time, and i have to say he deserves alot of credit, and steps up to the plate everytime, and comes out on top. cheers to joe, bhop, and boxing.

I think the majority thought Calzaghe would outwork the older Hopkins and that's what he did. It wasn't pretty but it never is with Bernard Hopkins

No upset here, aside from the knockdown in the first round. Even that was not an upset to some because Calzaghe is suspectible to the right hand counter punch and he was caught cold.

He's like Kelly Pavlik, he is underrated because of the color of his skin. I'm white and I was even kind of racist to some extent and thought Taylor was going to whoop Pavlik, because when I looked at Pavlik I saw a skinny white boy. People can be racist towards there own race, its not uncommon I wasn't racist intentionally.

Calz was anywhere from a 2/1 favorite to a 3.5/1 favorite depending on casino and site

This fight was crap. Joe looked too sloppy for me to give him a lot of credit. He was far from an underdog. I knew he'd probably win a tight decision. Just for the fact he throws more.

Calzaghe wasn't the underdog, no surprises on my part on the outcome. Many people, including myself have always believed that Calzaghe would outwork Hopkins to a decision and that's what happened.

                  boxing forums eh?

most polls i saw had calzaghe winning...
most boxing analysts had joe winning
                  most boxers had joe winning
and like i said before he was 3 to 1 favourite.. this generally gives an indication as to the overall impression as to who is the underdog...

it might also be part of the reason why everyone was asking popkins how it felt to be the underdog a million times

please explain how this makes joe the underdog... i'm just curious and i must be an idiot too so if you don't mind clarifying it for me i'd be very greatful

Every fighter is bashed on boxing forums.

Calzaghe was still not an underdog, and expected by the majority to win.
