I dont think Joe will experience this with any other fighter out there because no one is ass physically smothering as Hop.

Now, Pavlik is a straight up stand up fighter like Kessler but he isnt nearly as versatile as him. He MAY have more power (i dont think he does), but you can know what to expect and what to avoid with Kelly, jab jab straight right. While I dont think Joe would HURT Pavlik, I think he'd be able to fight more of his game against Pavlik. I wouldnt see no more than 3 rounds given to Pavlik in this fight.

Based on what I saw tonight Pavlik wins easily - most likely by a KO, Joe C. doesn't throw hard anymore, while Pavlik on the other hand has VERY heavy hands...

a poor mans kessler? Kelly will be a much much much tougher fight then kessler. I feel he hits harder and i think he's just as fast for the most part. Plus Kessler gets defensive while pavlik stays aggressive.

That would be a good fight. I think Pav might be able to beat kessler. Pav has never been in with a guy with a well schooled right hand like kesslers. I think he does everything else better than kessler. Kessler takes too many punches for me to say he beats Pav. It is a good test for Pav though. I would favor Pav to stop kessler in the latter round.

As far as Pav-40Cal, I've got Cal all the way. Kessler is faster than Pav, but Pav is the better schooled fighter all around imo. But Pav isn't a better boxer than 40Cal. I look for Cal to frustrate Pav, and win a unanimous decision. Pav does have those heavy hands, but Cal just does not get hit clean, and when he does, he makes himself invisible in the ring.

BHop showed how invisible he is huh? (rolls eyes) JC won't be able to get inside Kelly, which is his only chance to win the fight. Kelly will hunt him down, cut the ring off and pick him apart in pretty much the same fashion he did with Lockett. Yes, I just compared Lockett to JC - the outcome will be the same in the end folks. JC doesn't have the power or heart to upset the soon to be p4p best.

Also, JC truly does have a high punch output, but let's see how high it is while his opponent is actually hitting him. The relentless pressure he will face from Kelly will force him to either get in there and slug it out, or go turtle mode. Either way, he loses.

Exactly. For a guy 6'3 Pavlik can fight well inside compared to Kessler who has limited infighting skills and did panic every time Calzaghe closed the distance between them. Watch some of the early-mid rounds of Calzaghe-vs-Kessler when JC jumps on him he doesn't throw back. Where as Pavlik would trade with Calzaghe.
If Pavlik was to fight Kessler he'd have to come in behind his double jab because he doesn't have the foot speed of Calzaghe. Pavlik's not as foolish as Andrade just coming straight in behind no jab. It'd be a clash of styles. A 6'3 aggressive fighter who's always coming at you and has an improving jab but can some times throw a lazy jab and get caught against a fighter who is very smart and will make you pay for any mistake you make but has that upright European style with a lot of weight on his back foot and fights his best when you give him space. Pavlik-vs-Kessler is definitely a fight I'd like to see
