I dont think Joe wants to fight Pavlik, before the fight,he kept saying Pavlik is the only fighter that gets his juices flowing, and he only wants the Pavlik fight, now just a minute ago,he said he wants to become the legend killer, and fight Jones,a pointless fight IMO
Trainers say that a lot to keep a fighter focused. I don't think they were really concerned. They were also telling him a few rounds before that Nard was ready to go, and that wasn't reality either

I agree,i saw so many Calzaghe punches that if Bernard was faster and hit with more snap could have put Calzaghe down, sometimes Calzaghe would wind a punch which u could see coming from a mile away, and slap it,Hopkins also seen them coming, but he just ducked, didnt make him pay

Especially when you have a dillusional judge giving a fight Joe Calzaghe clearly won to Hopkins!
I agree. What can possibly be the problem with Bird?

              Hopkins looked tired, Calzaghe didn't.

Calzaghe outworked him to get a deserved decision.

When Joe shortened up his punches and smothered Hopkins on the inside, he did pretty good. When he tried to wind up, he missed 98% of the time and left himself wide open. If Joe would have gotten stopped in the 12th, he should have fired his dad.

Joe's body language was clear by about the fourth or fifth round. He knew he had the fight won and kept it cautious.

                      That's a little disappointing
