Thoughts?
Dawson is a southpaw and is a more natural light heavyweight then Hopkins. He hits very hard and has a good straight left. He is an extremely talented boxer but can stand and trade as well. I think this is pick 'em
Jones i think actually stops Calzaghe cause he would be much bigger physically in terms of muscle and strength. And he would let Calzaghe go crazy against him while he is against the ropes, and then just counter with sharp left hooks, body-head body-head. BAD styles matchup for Calzaghe imo.
Pavlik i think is an awsome fight. Pick 'em virtually. Pavlik would have to work hard. But at the same time, Pavliks best punch is the straight right hand, and that is also the same punch Calzaghe is most vulnerable to. I think Calzaghe would have to overcome some shaky moments early, maybe a KD, and fight for a very close decision win.
Taylor. Ive been predicting that Taylor would beat Calzaghe and i think that now more then ever. Taylor has very fast hands and throws hard but looping punches. AND he has a good jab. Close decsion for Taylor IMO.
If anything, Calzaghe looked very human tonight. You have to look at these matchups REALISTICLY and dont let your bias either way alter your decisions.
