He was truly atrocious tonight, in comparison to his usual high standards.

I know that he was fighting at a weight that he had never, ever fought at before and Hopkins was trying his best to spoil the fight by holding him etc. but I was really disappointed with his performance.

Oh well, at least Hopkins now knows what it is like to lose to a "white boy".

That is a very good point, and I suppose a win is a win.

I felt that Joe had won by at least five rounds, but the performance still wasn't as convincing as I would have liked.

Either way, I must congratulate the American boxing fans on their impeccable behaviour towards our boxing fans and towards Joe Calzaghe as well.

They took the defeat well. They are terrific people.

Joe just landed about three times the amount of punches.

Simple as that.

Hopkins is a great champion but he was no match for Joe.

I was horrified by Joe's performance. He looked to me like his reflexes and handspeed are going.

At times I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He seemed unable to throw any kind of crisp combos or even just rat a tat tat with his jab consistently.

No doubt Hopkins was part of it, he impressed me immensely, but Joe was off his game tonight, no doubt.

They could have easily scored that bout for Hopkins if they'd wanted.

London-born Joe Calzaghe has said in the past that he is proud to be British.

Also, last time I checked, Wales was a small principality of England, albeit a great one.

And I agree, Lennox Lewis is the biggest fraud of all time.
