That was a real knockdown. It didn't look that way at first but afterwards Joe was on the way to the canvas before the head hold and push.

The fact that joe won eight of the next 11 rounds doesn't erase the genuine knockdown in the first.

Being biased doesn't just mean it has to do with race or nationality. You can have bias for swarmers, styles, haircuts, smell, which one looks better in an evening gown... Fight was close. Having it scored for Nard by a point doesn't mean they're biased.

Especially when Dan Rafeal picked Calzaghe to win...

116-111 to Calzaghe, the last 6 rounds were one sided, all hopkins wanted to do was hold and fake he'd been hit with low blows. Hopkins won rounds 1-3-10 on my card

The poll in this thread is one sided like the last 6 rounds of the fight.

considering that JC outlanded Hops, and Hops landed the much cleaner and stronger blows, I'd say it either should have been a draw or considering the knockdown, Hops should have snatched a razor thin decision. I know I've said this already in a couple other threads, but some of these clowns are being downright insane with some of this ****. Close fight, it's not a robbery that JC won, but personally, I don't think he deserved it, and I can see a case being made that neither did Hopkins. A draw would have been fair.

I wanted Joe to win, but i belive Hopkins won that fight. A lot of rounds were hard to score but just cuz joe's moving forward throwing slaps dont mean he deserves the nod! He was getting countered by clean shots.

I will tell you what; Joe Calzaghe won that fight.

Joe Calzaghe punched MORE; landed MORE; and at a higher percentage at that (according to compubox he dominated hopkins in all 3 areas).

its REALLY hard to find that fight for hopkins when joe dominated in those 3 areas and landed more on hopkins than any other fighter had done before (even more than roy jones jr. did when they fought).

After the first 3/4 rounds calzaghe began to establish his style and apply it...

by the 6/7th round he began dominating and really swept a good 3-4 rounds in a row down the stretch.

hopkins is smart and a very good counterpuncher (as you seen from the fight) but calzaghe is younger; faster; and was able to MAKE ADJUSTMENTS during the fight.

i think the fact that calzaghe made adjustments and hopkins didnt is the biggest difference in the fight beyond age.

I'll watch the fight again tomorrow and see if I can score it for Hops. I absolutely hate scoring for fighters who don't do any damage. I can deal w/ Wright, as his jab is pretty stiff, accurate, and does about as much damage as one of Zag's power punches. I hate giving him rounds for essentially throwing punches that wouldn't knock out any of my ex's. Had B-Hop throw, ****, 10-15% more punches I'd have had him winning the fight; even if those punches weren't landing.

In a fair world it'd be a draw I suppose though, **** 10 point must.
