J's scorcard - bhop/calzy + short analysis

rnd 1 - 10/8 hopkins. he did just enought to win the round and scored the knockdown.

rnd 2 - 10/10 draw. bhop cleaner punches, calzaghe better volume.

rnd 3 - 10/9 hopkins. simply outworked calzy. joe did have a few moments, but hopkins had better effectiveness with his punches.

rnd 4 10/9 - calzy. barely got this round and could have scored it even really. i think the 2 spurts of joe's might've won him this round. hard rnd to call.

rnd 5 10/10. round was quite even. power shots were even. calzy may have had the better power counters so it is possible to give the round to him. but neither guy came out above considering bhop throwing in bunches more accurately when in close. so i scored it even.

rnd 6 10/9 hopkins. more damagine, cleaner punches. this was an easier rnd to score than most. many rnds could've gone either way to most people. i sm looking for effectiveness and clean execution. volume comes econd unless it is nearly double.

calzy punching behind the head. bhop did a few time as well throughout the fight.

rnd 7 10/10. bhop had him off balance with a few punches. calzy threw a good bunch a few times. could go either way i suppose. but, i am counting the punches bhop throws while ties up. those do have an effect.

bhop is throwing harder punches, but limits them to bunches. calzy has a few pockets of action himself.

i have bhop winning this fight fairly well so far. joe isn't windmailing and as active as he normally is

rnd 8 - i have no damn clue how to core this. calzy won the first half, bhop won the second half. i don't want too many 10/10 rounds. it is hard to call. i don't want the cheat a fighter because the did enough to tie the round and feel like i am obligated to give one fighter an edge.

btw, as i pause in round eight, let me say that bhop is landing significantly harder cleaner punches as well as winning 2/3rds of the clinching battles. this is what seems to be making a diffeence on my scorecard.

rnd 9 10/9 for joe. bhop landing a few fluch punches, but joe pressured more and landed better cleaner punches.

joes corner thinks bhop is ready to go down. they don't know bhop it seems.

low blow to bhop. next one is point deduction. joe acting like a punk right now.

10/9 bhop. aggressiveness, i gave to bhop.

i have hopkins winning many of these rounds. he is working better in the clinch that joe and has landed more cleaner shots. joe is not landing flush power shots that are affecting hopkins.

bhop floored joe once, shook him a few times throuout the fight, and seems to have landed much cleaner.
