    Hopkins Makes Me Laugh......

With all that, I grew up on the mean streets. I've been in prison, talk.

When it comes down to it that wont mean a single thing.

Joe will beat him like he's his daddy.

Exactly. Means nothing if your opponent's better.

Call me old fashioned but I still think having that kind of past is not something to boast/rave about with pride. Even in boxing.

Didn't Joe say something like he knows that he is hard.

      He is.

Going to prison just means that you were a ****. Simple as.

He said, "Hopkins had to go to prison to get hard, I was born hard"

And all that bull**** Hopkins was spouting about this fight being about race, the black man Vs the white man.

Part of a fighter's draw is their personality and their ability to sell a fight. Dela Hoya is a perfect example.. He does nothing to deserve big money fights and yet he gets them even though he continues to lose because he can put cheeks in the seats. Hopkins is in somewhat the same situation he sells fights and this fight is bigger than it would be because of that. It all comes down to money and you'd better believe win, lose or draw if he can sell tickets he'll be offered another fight for big money. Don't tell me if Hopkins loses by decision and isn't beat to a pulp [he won't be] they couldn't easilly sell a Jermain Taylor vs Bernard Hopkins III. Hopkins won't retire while the big money is still available and either will Dela Hoya. Like him or hate him, fighters like Hopkins, Dela Hoya and Tarver will be around for a while yet and they certainly offer a more entertaining alternative to what's left. Anyone want to see another heavyweight title fight between tomato cans???
