Yeah, he lost his last fight, but it was just an example of his lack of amateur experience coming into play. At the end of the day, it'll only make him better. Now he knows what it's like to face a defense-first counterpuncher. He will destroy Quintana in a rematch. As soon as he starts sitting on his punches, it's going to be a serious problem. A green Williams still beat Margarito by at least 8-4 (I had it 9-3). Margarito will beat Cotto, Williams will beat Quintana, and we will have a rematch with the winner fighting Floyd. It will be Williams. Money May is the man too, but I just feel Williams will gain a lot from that last loss and improve lots.
Paul Williams Will Be The 147 King

You seriously are no better than the most hardcore Margarito fans. Even Burner, who I thought would fanboy it up for Williams after the loss has cooled that **** down... why don't you follow suit? -
Williams was exposed by Quintana...Quintana showed the blueprint on how to beat him, Williams can't handle slick guys like Quintana...Quintana will use his superior skills to beat Williams by UD again in the rematch.Comment

DWiens shut your mouth. Did he not embarass Margarito?? People saying 147 is too much for him just simply know nothing about cutting weight. There are plenty of boxers and mma fighters who cut more then him. NCAA wrestlers sometime put on close to 35 lbs. between the weight and match. He throws more punches then anybody, picks things up at a rapid rate, and has an iron chin and decent defense when he's not being lazy. He had one bad fight, and lost, maybe he believed his hype too much. If he continues to learn and sit on his punches, he will own the division. The only competition after he beats Quintana is Money May and Mosley. Will Cotto make him miss and counter??? Get a life you idiot. 8,000 posts and you're still a fool.Comment

Williams looked as confused as a ***** with a **** in front of him against a counterpuncher. Forrest does it better than pretty much everyone in the sport. I think Williams would not do very well against my boy. And this isn't a shout out to my boy... it's just my feeling that Williams isn't going to be successful against a counter puncher. Here's why:
Williams doesn't have a highly technical attack. While he throws a lot of punches, a lot of them are wide, and he seldom gets his guard back in front of face. A counterpuncher's dream.
Also, the more of those counterpuncher's dream punches that he throws... well, the more counterpunching opportunities there will be.
If Williams wants to be more successful, he should really cool this ridiculous work rate out and try to be more economical. If he lands straighter punches, he will still benefit from his stamina, because he will be able to keep that up all night.Comment

Come on, look at Wlad. Was he exposed by Brewster?? People have off nights. It happens in combat sports. He lost, and he has a really small amateur pedigree, he will learn from this.Comment

LOL the same Forrest who lost to the tremendously technical Mayorga twice?? Oh that was because he was injured twice and had two off nights right??? Yes, Paul Williams embarrassed Margarito. He outworked Margarito for the first 8 or so rounds when Margarito decided that he didn't need to fight, and then got his ass kicked in the last few rounds. The damage was definately done by Margarito, even after Margarito gave him 8 rounds of a head start.
Read the last post I made about Williams's and why counterpunchers will always give him absolute fits. It, like you said, does have to do with a lack of amatuer experience, but in reality, I doubt he has enough time in his career to fix it and still be an elite fighter in the process of fixing it.Comment
